We find Book A Builder’s claims to be laughable in this respect if someone as dishonest as Joe Bonner can get themselves listed on the site, and only providing a (dodgy) name (Jack Bonner), mobile number (07539 774599), and a dodgy location (Wadswick, Wiltshire.). We suspect that he’s used this location not only to cover his tracks (7 Comet Crescent doesn’t get any positive publicity) but to also to be the “Premium Member” for this location on Book A Builder.
Later on in their terms and conditions for people using the site to find a Tradesman they completely absolve themselves of any responsibility for bad workmanship/theft/fraud.

Basically Book A Builder appear to sign up anybody who comes along with a fiver per month without doing much in the way of a background check, they tell the world that their site is wonderful and safe, and all the tradesmen are all jolly nice blokes, then ignore you when things go wrong citing their terms and conditions.
